There is some confusion on what web design really entails.

Here is what web design is not:

» A total process—Web design is not the complete process of starting and finishing a website.

» Templates—A template is not included in the design process since it is already created and only lacks tweaking and adding content.

» Simple—Design is not easy. It has to consider all aspects of a site; navigation, module placement such as newsletter sign up, dynamic content like videos and much more.

This is web design:

» Creativity—It's no small task making something unique considering the millions of websites out there.

» Graphics—A site may function well but it should be attractive to the eye. It should convey who you are in imagery and layout.

» Flow—Design plays an important role in getting from page to page inside the site and accessing important information.
